Symetri Grows Staff Again


July 31, 2000, High Point, NC - During its first year of business, Symetri, an interactive agency located in the Triad, has grown its staff from two to twenty-two. This rapid growth has been prompted by an increase in major clients, many of which are nationally known brands. Recent agreements have been reached with Sealy, Inc. and Thomasville Furniture Industries which are also based in the Triad. Ron Jones, Jr., crusader and chief (AKA president) of Symetri, says, "We search for the most talented creative and technical individuals to ensure our clients are served in the best possible manner. We pride ourselves in having a young, energetic, and qualified team who not only work well together but also possesses unique synergy."

Recent additions to the Symetri staff includes:

Greg Haynes, LogiComposer - A web developer who lives in Kernersville, Haynes has a degree in Information Systems from UNCG and a marketing degree from Appalachian University. Prior to joining Symetri he held positions as a systems analyst and programmer with The Todd Organization of the Carolinas.

Jordan Jennings, Grand Master Flash - A member of the creative team at Symetri, at 17 Jennings is the youngest of Symetri's staff. He is a rising senior at Western Guilford High School in Greensboro and also attends the Weaver Education Center. He was the subject of several recent local and national newspaper articles about young talent working in the interactive business. Previously, Jennings held part time positions with The Depot.

Dana Bird, Choreographer - As the job title indicates, Bird's position is responsible for coordinating and organizing the fast-paced Symetri office. Reporting to Ron Jones, Jr., crusader and chief of Symetri, Bird a High Point native, joins the company following positions as account coordinator and media planner for Trone Advertising.

Heather Rhodes, Strategic Lynx - Rhodes, of Greensboro, is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in Communication Studies. Prior to joining Symetri in account coordination she was employed as a project manager for Tangram Enterprise Solutions in Cary, North Carolina. Rhodes is originally from Rockingham, North Carolina.

Chris Davis, Creator - Davis, a web designer, joined Symetri following a stint as multi-media designer with Spin Communications. He is responsible for developing concepts and design solutions for Symetri clients, including architecture and usability for web sites. Davis holds a degree in Commercial Art and Advertising Design from Fayetteville Technical Community College and is certified in Multi-Media Design from The School of Communication Arts. His hometown is Long Beach, North Carolina.

Connie Turner, Myth & Legend - Originally from Norwood, North Carolina, Turner now resides in Greensboro. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Bryan Business School with a BS in management and marketing, she also studied at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. Turner will work in the area of account coordination.
