Symetri Named One of The Best Places to Work by Publication The Business Journal
September 8, 2000, High Point, NC - Symetri Corporation, a Triad interactive agency was named one of The Best Places to Work by The Business Journal during a recent award ceremony held at the Embassy Suites. The purpose of the awards program is to salute Triad companies that excel in providing the area with superb employment opportunities. The Business Journal stated, "This emphasis on Best Places should help foster an attitude and atmosphere that ranks the Triad as one of the Best Places in the Country to live and work." The Business Journal offered five categories of competition including culture, people development, family-friendliness, work environment, and incentives, rewards, and recognition. Individual employees of area businesses submitted entries explaining why they feel their respective employers should win.
In being chosen as the small-business winner of Best Places to Work - Work Environment, Symetri was cited as a company that offers a stimulating atmosphere for idea development: for example, employees are not only encouraged to design their own work space configuration and lighting, but also to pick their own job titles. Company-issued Nerf guns, an on-premises music server, weekend outings, visits to local restaurants, and participation in charitable causes were some of the team-building activities noted by the Business Journal judges.
Ron Jones, Jr., crusader-in-chief of Symetri expressed the company's immense pride and pleasure for being recognized, "We are just thrilled by this honor. Everyone at Symetri contributes to creating our unique environment. We all work and play together and that means we are better able to not only meet the needs of our clients but also support one another's personal and creative needs." He further noted that the company is always striving to provide the latest in the necessary tools and knowledge to further stimulate the creative development, so crucial for employees in an interactive agency.
