Symetri Develops Web site for Thomasville Cabinetry

March 26, 2001, High Point, North Carolina - Symetri, a North Carolina based interactive company, has recently developed and launched the Thomasville Cabinetry Web site, www.thomasvillecabinetry.com. Previously, Symetri worked on the Thomasville Furniture Industries Web site and it was this experience and understanding of the brand that led to Symetri being chosen for the new venture. Shelley Peters, manager of brand licensing for Thomasville Furniture, stressed the importance of a consistent brand presentation, "The Web site was designed to be compatible with all other Thomasville Cabinetry collateral material with which consumers will come into contact. We knew from our past experience with Symetri that they would put the appropriate attention and energy behind the project."

Thomasville Furniture Industries, Inc., in an exclusive agreement with The Home Depot, has licensed its name for use in kitchen and bath cabinetry. Thomasville Furniture, one of the best-known home furnishings brands in the country, sets manufacturing standards and specifications for the cabinetry, as well as retains final approval on all aspects of the program. Thomasville Cabinetry offers a broad range of cabinet options, many of which are complimentary to Thomasville Furniture products.

That range is showcased on the site's landing pages, which feature full-color photography of the various cabinetry styles and finishes. The Home Depot store locator is another popular area of the site, allowing consumers to input their zip code and find the location nearest them. Symetri is one of a handful of interactive companies that combine both creative and technical expertise, and according to Peters, "Symetri not only presented strong creative direction, but delivered the complete project on time."

Theb site will be promoted through an upcoming national advertising and promotional campaign for the line. Additionally, the Web site address is incle Wuded on all product catalogs and packaging, and is linked from both www.thomasvillecabinetry.com and www.homedepot.com

Kimberly Strother, who led the Symetri team responsible for the Thomasville Cabinetry project, shared, "As a result of Symetri's agility, work on the Thomasville Cabinetry site commenced very quickly to accommodate an aggressive delivery date. The multi-disciplinary Symetri team worked around the clock to deliver an exceptional Web site on time." Further she added, "The beautiful photography of the Thomasville Cabinetry made it easy to create a visually appealing site. It was an absolute pleasure to work with the Thomasville and Home Depot team."

Thomasville Cabinetry is a proprietary venture between Thomasville Furniture Industries, Inc. and The Home Depot, Inc. Thomasville fully participates in, and retains final approval on, all brand activities. The Thomasville Cabinetry collection, which offers over 50 possible wood specie, finish and style combinations, will be available at approximately 1100 Home Depot locations in the United States and Canada by May of this year.
