Symetri Orchestrates New Look For Greensboro Symphony Web Site

August 9, 2001, High Point, NC – The Greensboro Symphony has launched the 2001/2002 season with a new look on their Web site, www.greensborosymphony.org. Larae N. Junior, sales and publications manager for the Symphony, enthused that, “The new site is completely different from last year’s which was so wonderful we knew surpassing it would be a challenge. However, Symetri was able to accommodate the look of the new season with unique design and functionality that reflected our current needs.” This is the third year in which Symetri has worked with the Greensboro Symphony. Last year’s site received accolades from a number of sources including a very positive review from a Triad-area business publication.

Jordan Jennings, Symetri’s grand master flash, noted, “The site is relatively small so an elaborate design was not necessary. The simplicity of the site adds to the classic feel. Our unique user experience approach in Web site development means we always keep the user’s needs first and foremost. In this case, that meant setting the stage, so to speak, with a flash intro of visual imagery of Greensboro coupled with a soundtrack which produces a dramatic parallel to an actual Symphony performance.”

The Web site ensures that every visitor experiences easily navigated pages as they review upcoming performances, check schedules and select seating options. Junior elaborated on the upcoming performances, “We are well prepared to facilitate the needs of our site guests. This will be important as we have some very exciting programming in the months ahead. For example, in November we will be doing Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana with several soloists and all of the 270 or so people in the UNCG choruses. It should be a great performance and our new Web site makes it easy for those interested to obtain the particulars and purchase seats.”

Looking ahead, Junior commented, “We look forward to working with Symetri each year. Their customer service is great, they are always on top of things, and someone is always reachable.”Jennings relayed, “The Symphony site is always a pleasure to produce because the client is so cooperative and welcomes our ideas. They are also appreciative of the work we do for them which is very rewarding.”
