Position Summary: Provide creative leadership in a visual sense and provide every client with the best possible designs, form both an aesthetic point of view and a usability point of view.
Major Responsibilities:
- Develop client web site look and feel
- Create visual design briefs , online visual surveys, and paper prototypes
- Develop project estimates and scope based on client needs and project interaction
- Assist with user interviews, interpretation sessions and model consolidations
- Strategize, design, and manage the production of large, complex user interface projects
- Perform research and analysis involving client’s business and target audience
- Maintain project budget parameters
- Organize, compile and maintain all project data and visually impacting information
- Perform QA functionality and usability testing
- Support project leadership in the development and implementation of specific solution plans that enable improved user experiences and meet business objectives
Job Knowledge / Experience:
The position would require a four-year degree in a related field plus 2 years of progressively more responsible work experience in visual design or equivalent work experience in the discipline. In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Must have basic experience in HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS for Page Layout a Plus), XSL, ASP, Photoshop, Dream Weaver, Home Site, Flash Illustrator and programming. Utilize the principles of user-centered design to develop user interaction designs using knowledge of customer tasks, product functionality requirements, knowledge of user interface architecture, knowledge of other user interface designs, and industry and company interface standards.
