Symetri expands into US market with acquisition of Microdesk and becomes the #1 Global Autodesk Solution Provider

Symetri, one of Europe’s leading solution providers of digital BIM, product design and lifecycle solutions, today announced it has acquired Microdesk Inc, an Autodesk Platinum Partner headquartered in the US.

With revenues of 1 billion SEK, 300 employees and over 5000 customers, Microdesk significantly increases Symetri’s global footprint and gives it an important foothold in the dynamic and growing US market.

Founded in 1994 as an Autodesk Reseller, Microdesk had a simple mission – to assist Architects, Engineers, Construction professionals and owner/operators with improving workflows and integrating project delivery technologies and services.

Together the two companies will serve more than 250.000 daily users across 20 000 customers and have more than 750 employees.

The acquisition of Microdesk Inc is in line with Symetri’s strategy to be a global market leader within their industry. Together, Symetri and Microdesk will have an increased Service and R&D capacity to deliver more value for their customers with the goal to enable more people to work smarter and more sustainably. With operations across US and Europe Symetri and Microdesk will together have a unique position to serve customers with global operations.
